2017 has been challenging year. The year started with learning Jim has esophageal cancer. Further testing revealed it was in another region as well, but fortunately no organs were involved. He underwent chemo and radiation, he was not a surgical candidate but is responding favorably to treatment. We determined that learning of this provided us a wake-up call to enjoy life, so off we went to Hawaii with his dad, my mom and our oldest son (Charles) – Brandon does not fly, that is the ONLY reason he did not go or get invited😊.

Upon our return from Hawaii, we noticed some changes, met with his doctors and learned two tumors were found in his brain. The first tumor has been removed, the second will be removed shortly. The doctors remain very positive, his main doctor states he will be with us for a very long time – I may be skeptical, but I think he called Jim immortal as he said he and Jim will be going together to watch the Lions play in a super bowl (hence me saying immortal😊).

Thank you in advance for understanding that between dr. appointments or recuperating from treatment, we may not be able to discuss so we will keep this site updated.
