On a beautiful Saturday, April 2, my dad set out to do something he loves best . . . practice his golf swing. On his way home in his golf cart, he had a head on collision with a car. The impact threw him from the cart where he suffered a traumatic brain injury. There were many angels among him as he was taken by life flight to the only trauma hospital with an available bed, Grady Memorial in downtown Atlanta (a LONG way from Bent Tree!) While the surgeon informed us she was "disinclined" to do the surgery needed to stop the bleeding on his brain, Roma & I were more inclined and said, "Yes, do the surgery!" Daddy survived the surgery . . . one of a few hurdles to overcome on his road to recovery. Thank you for stopping by to check in on him. Please leave a note to let him know you were here. :-)
