in 2016, while undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, the doctors discovered a mass around his kidney. He was diagnosed with Stage IV renal cancer, and started Votrient for treatment in January 2018. In 2019, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and entered end stage in late 2022. He lost his battle with renal cancer in November of 2022.
