Welcome to our CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Many of you know what’s going on, but many others don’t.

History: Jim first fell ill while in FL on business two and a half weeks ago. He started feeling better and traveled on to India for business.  He was hospitalized upon arrival on March 5. He has an infection that attacks his organs. He got better, got worse, got better, got worse, etc.  I flew to join him and arrived early Tuesday morning of this week.  He was in the ICU by then.  Today he had surgery to replace a damaged valve in his heart. The surgery was successful, but he still has a ways to go.  There is still an infection; his lung function needs to improve.  So far his kidneys still look good.  As I write this he’s still asleep from surgery.

He has a long road to recovery ahead.  He went into this incredibly healthy, and he’s very strong, so I feel certain there are much better days ahead.

I created this page because I’m having a very hard time responding to all the texts, calls, and emails.  It’s not that I don’t want to, but I can’t keep up. So this was suggested as a way to me to get the message out to a large number of people all in one place.

I’m not asking for anything except your very powerful prayers. The folks at Power School are with me all day and with Jim all night. The people at the hotel are very accommodating.  Just today they brought me my power cord and some food when asked. The people in the hospital are also very kind and helpful.  I’m surrounded by those who will get me anything I need, but I’m in India, half a world away from home.

I’ve heard multiple stories about Jim and his kindnesses.  Everyone loves this guy.  Of course I’ve known that for years. The support I’ve received has been overwhelming. I read the emails and texts to him to help encourage him.  I thank you for that. And I read them to myself to remind myself of  the power of prayer when I need to be talked off the ledge.

As news becomes available, you can find it here. Thank you for caring.
