Hi friends and family.  Hope you all are well.  Jim's latest CT scan on June 8 showed us that his pancreatic cancer had spread from the pancreas to the lungs, liver and lymph nodes. As usual, he's taking this in stride, and sends his best wishes to all of you.  He has started hospice with a wonderful woman named Kelly, who is taking care of his meds and other needs.  She has said that there's a reasonable chance he can remain at home, which would be wonderful.

Other news that you may or may not know.  Last month, after Jennifer found a terrific retirement / assisted living facility close to her in Los Angeles that Barbara could move to someday, Jim said "Let's go now, I'm coming too."  So Barbara could be all squared away now vs. having to do it all later without him.  Most of the family's jaws dropped, but his mind was made up, and darned if he didn't make it all happen within a month: sale of house, many possessions, a car and all the associated logistics.  Enough to exhaust a 30 year old, but it's all done.

Hope you'll feel free to use this site to say hello.  I know Jim would like to reply, but if that doesn't happen, know that both Jim and Barbara will really appreciate any thoughts you share - see the Guestbook page.

Cheers.
