Jim Gervais and Denise Ellingworth were in a serious motorcycle accident on the evening of October 19. Their motorcycle struck a combine that was crossing Falcon Avenue.

Both of them were unresponsive at the scene. Jim was airlifted to HCMC by LifeLink. Denise was transported by ambulance to Region's Hospital. Jim is in critical condition, and Denise is in stable condition. Jim has a long road of recovery ahead from two brain bleeds, and many broken bones.

24 hours after the accident, Jim began responding to commands - moving his feet and toes when asked, and moving his hands to avoid a pinch.
