In September of 2014 Jim was diagnosed with prostate cancer that had metastasized.  He had surgery but the doctor's weren't able to remove all the cancer.  He underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation but the cancer still spread.  With his health deteriorating in spite of all medical intervention, Jim decided this week to enter hospice care.
