Jim was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in mid May, a lesion on the top of his scalp. He will be undergoing excisional surgery to remove the lesion, surrounding tissue and to have sentinel lymph nodes located for pathology.  This surgery will happen on Monday, June 12 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.  He will have a second surgery on Monday, June 26 to reconstruct his scalp.  We are using this site to keep family and friend updated.
