Well, I could write many things here to talk about what Dad meant to me, but I want all of us to share our thoughts and sentiments on this site because we all have so much to share.
Dad was a special man, an example of so many things we all know that made him so much a part of our lives and our hearts. Descriptive words that immediately come to mind: Dignity, Love, Thoughtfulness, Kindness, Caring, Integrity, Honesty, and Family.
We have all been blessed with some portion of his 86 years and I would love to hear your stories and your thoughts for us to share with each other, laugh a little and recognize the very special person he was... he will be an influence and a very fond memory for us all in so many ways. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and stories with us... we will cherish them all.
Dad always discussed that he would want to be surrounded by family and to go peacefully at home. August 21, 2020 was that day... we were all together, we said our goodbyes and then he knew we would all be okay.
Dad fought this cancer for nearly six years bravely and showed great dignity all the way through his final minutes...his influence on so many will never end.
