Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Back in May 2016 Jim was having stroke like symptoms so we took him to ER to learn the next day that he had a brain tumor.  A month later after a biopsy surgery done at Northwestern we found out it was a stage 4 brainstem glioblastoma. Inoperable and fast growing. Very devastating. Typical statistic for such tumor is 12-18 months. So over the summer he received chemo and radiation for 6 weeks to try to stabalize the tumor.  It was a difficult 6 weeks for him due to swelling in his brain from treatment. He lost the use of his left hand and a much weaker left leg. We recently found out early November that the Tumor was stable. Such a relief!
