Welcome to Jim's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep his family and friends updated in one place.

In the early hours of Sunday, December 21st, Jim had an accident during which he hit his head. He went unconscious and was taken to the emergency room where he was admitted to the trauma ICU. The next day doctors found bleeding on his brain, which they have stabilized. They are keeping him sedated because he tries to get up and pull out his catheter and IV. (That sounds like our Jimbo!) On Tuesday the 23rd doctors found a large blood clot in his leg. A surgeon will be putting mesh in his leg to protect his heart and lungs.

Jim is in very serious condition. This is his second major traumatic brain injury. But Jim is a fighter, and he has an amazing support network.

The hospital is not allowing any visitors due to COVID, but a nurse is by his side at all times, so he is never alone. The hospital has asked that friends and family not call because they are incredibly overwhelmed. We will post updates here as soon as we have them, so please do not contact Jim's family. We are also very overwhelmed and emotionally distraught. Please be patient with us and check here for updates.

You may send cards to:
Sutter Roseville Medical Center
James Pryor ICU
1 Medical Plaza
Roseville, ca 95661

The hospital has asked that no flowers, balloons, or other gifts be sent. The cards will be read to him and displayed for him to see when he wakes. Feel free to call or text his cell phone. It will be good for him to hear and read encouraging messages!

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
