Welcome to our Jimbirdwmaple CaringBridge website. We decided to add wmaple to dad’s name to distinguish him from other possible Jim Birds. “w” stands for “West” and Maple. West Maple was the Birmingham public school where he taught middle school social studies for many years. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
