Welcome to my CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Laura & I appreciate your support, prayers and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
I am starting this site early, before a full diagnosis. Maybe (not likely) I won't even need it! But assuming I do, here it is. This site is for medical journies and not just for end of life journal & support. I am on an unexpected journey here, and I'm inviting you along. My first priority is to tell you about God.
The most important thing for you to know, whether you want to hear it or not, is that GOD exists. God (the God of the Bible) created us, and He loves each one of us. He knows you, even if you don't know Him. He loves you - even if you don't love Him. He cares about you, personally, and knows everything about you.....everything. He loves you and the world (all people) so much that He sent His only son, Jesus, to earth - to live, feel, hurt - just like we do. Then He provided a path to resolve the sin that we all commit. God is a just God and cannot tolerate sin. It is our human nature to sin, and to God, all sin is the same, with just consequences being death.
But Jesus, as both human and God, died on the cross to pay for OUR sin. Jesus is the only one to have never sinned. He was tortured and killed to pay for all of our sin, once and for all. Then, Jesus conquered death by rising from the grave. This gives us a path to eternal life with God. All who believe shall not perish but will have everlasting life. It's called The Good News, and it is not complicated.
If God is not a priority in your life right now, consider changing that. To do so is pretty simple and easy. We will ALL die. What will happen to YOU when your time comes. As friends and family, I do not want to see you perish or suffer. I pray that this essay will penetrate your heart and make you think about God and death.
