Hello friends and family, as most of you are aware, Jill was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer at the end ofJuly 2018 called Ovarian Clear Cell Carcinoma (OCCC). In order to best treat this particular form of cancer , Jills oncologist recommended a complete Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo- Oophorectomy (which she had on August 10, 2018). While Jill is fortunate enough that this cancer was caught in an early stage- 1C (specifically there are 4 stages) due to the aggressive nature of the subtype, 6 cycles of chemotherapy (every 3 weeks) have been recommended by her medical treatment team, which Jill began on Friday, October 12th.
Currently Jill is on leave from her make up artistry business while she is recovering from surgery and undergoing treatment . She is dedicated to getting well, and plans to return to work summer 2019. Although this diagnosis has been a life altering event for Jill and her family, she, Toby, and her boys are in good spirits and feel positive about the outcome of her treatment .
We have created this website to provide friends and family with updates on Jill's condition, as well as a place to communicate about her needs (Meal sign ups, assistance with kids, etc..) and ways in which friends and family can be of assistance. Thank you for all of your well wishes, healing vibes, love and support!
