As many of you know, Jill has been the primary in-home caregiver for her husband Dick for the last four years. Jill has been feeling extremely tired for months, and last week, after coughing, she experienced chest pain.  The next morning she went to ER and through tests that were taken, the doctor recommended that Jill go to her oncologist for a consultation, which she did early last week. Her primary oncologist recommended that Jill see a specialist which she has seen. This oncologist reviewed the information available and told Jill that in his opinion there is a 99% chance that she has lung cancer. He wants her to schedule a battery of tests immediately to confirm his diagnosis.

Please pray that Dick and Jill’s insurance will authorize the tests immediately and that they can determine the specific extent of her condition.

At this point in time Jill is experiencing being tired with a few more symptoms.   She covets your prayers for herself and for Dick, and she is most grateful for all the practical help that family and friends are giving to them.

Please pray for all the family as they will be dealing with all of the things necessary to help their beloved Dick and Jill, as they will be making many difficult decisions in the ensuing weeks.

This caring bridge site will be very helpful and helping you to know what the needs are, and in limiting the conversations that Jill will have so that she can rest. Thank you for your willingness to use this site and thank you so much for all your help and prayers.
