Mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on New Year’s Day 2020. She received 18 chemo treatments March thru May; she did very good with little side effects. PET scan following treatments revealed the cancer had shrunken, but still present. She began immunotherapy to help fight the cancer. Mid July she begin to have a lot of pain. August brought breathing difficulties, a trip to ER, admitted to ICU. Tests revealed cancer the cancer was spreading. The decision was made to bring her home with hospice.
