On the morning of Monday July 18th 2016 she was driving herself and unborn baby girl to work in Waconia, MN on one of the New Germany back roads. It is believed (to the best of our family's knowledge) that she crossed over the oncoming lane of traffic, hit the ditch and rolled her vehicle. Unfortunately, Jess had her left arm hanging out of the rolled down window. The injuries she sustained include a severely mangled left arm, a brain bleed (extent unknown), a neck injury (extent unknown) and several bruises.
The Responders had to extract Jess from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life and rushed her to Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia shortly after. Due to her extensive arm injury, Jess had lost quite a bit of blood and it was the Doctors life-saving decision to perform an emergency C-Section in order to save her little Mollie. The two were then transported to HCMC and Children's hospitals in Minneapolis, MN in critical condition. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
