Well, I just sent out a bunch of emails from my google list... it was harder to do than I thought it would be and there was no way to write a note to people - I wanted to be explicit - some of you will want to know what going on and some of you won't and that's totally okay!
My only goal here is to keep in touch with people who want updates without having to answer individual emails, texts, phone calls, facebook comments and facebook messages! Wow we have so many ways of connecting. Maybe I should get a twitter account. Not.
What's the actual story? Well I'll say more later but the gist is that I'm having major surgery on Tuesday, January 31st at 1pm to remove a very large alien creature that has taken over one of my ovaries. My doctor thinks I probably have ovarian cancer. I'm hoping it is just my last egg making a last ditch effort to "birth" something. ("Well, if Jess isn't going to have a baby then how about it I just make a big grapefruit thingy so she can at least feel pregnant?")
Much will be revealed on Tuesday/Weds. Hopefully it will be the best possible news. Love you all!
p.s. I'm still wending my way around this site, so not sure where else to put this: I would LOVE snail mail if you are inclined. Notes, cards, or crazy stuff like the next time you get a good fortune cookie fortune just stick it in an envelope and send it onward!
ALSO - I expect to be reading many books on my kindle (which I try to borrow from my library) and also watch all kinds of movies from the cheesiest Bollywood to the best british dramas I can get my hands on (and everything in between. So please send any recommendations!!)
I am also a HUGE fan of Charles De Lint, which basically no one has ever heard of but it you have - and you can recommend other/similar authors that would be the awesome.
