For those of you that don't already know, here's my 411: I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on Dec 31, 2015. We caught the disease on a CT scan, which revealed a large tumor in my superior anterior mediastinum (upper, front chest cavity). Once we found this, I underwent what seemed like 100 more tests (ugh) and found out that I have several other cancerous nodes in my neck and around my collarbone. This might sound terrible, but to us it was the best news we had heard in a while. Since all of the cancer is located above my diaphragm, the disease is classified as Stage II and is quite treatable.
I'm confident we can win this battle, ESPECIALLY with the army of support on my side - family, friends, doctors and the man upstairs. Thanks again for visiting the site, I feel so blessed to have each and every one of you in my life!! I begin chemo this January...so...cheers to losing hair and kicking booty in 2016 :)
