Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. In May of 2013 at the tender age of seven Jessica had suffered through her first bought of pancreatitis. At this time her gall bladder was removed and she had some procedures done that eased her pain for about three years. Now at the age of 11 she has been diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis. This is something that should never happen and rarely has to a child. At the moment they are saying the cause is the location of insertion of her ducts into her pancreas and liver. She is waiting to hear if this can be corrected by the insertion of stents into these ducts or if an ISLET Cell transplant and total pancreateomy is the option to take. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
