Hello everyone. Jessica Neilson has been a valued colleague of ours at Highline College for many years now. Recently, Jessica was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). It started with simple leg swelling and a seemingly benign trip to urgent care. Multiple tests later, Jessica was scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy, and about 2 weeks ago received word that she has ALL. Jessica checked into Swedish hospital, First Hill (ward 12-E oncology) for immediate treatment. Please no plants, flowers, candy, non-latex balloons, or visitors (each cancer patient gets just one visitor the entire time he/she is inpatient to limit the spread of Covid/germs for so many immuno compromised people! She is currently on an indefinite medical leave of absence at the college. We hope to keep you updated through this site. Thank you for all your support and prayers!
