Jessica DePugh

On Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017, 37 year old Jessica Lynn DePugh was in a horrific motor vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 6 and Rt. 96 in Phelps, NY.  She had just picked up her 3 yr. nephew from his special school for autistic children.  We believe the sun was a factor in her not being able to see the truck that was coming at about 55+ mph when she pulled into his path and was hit on her side of the vehicle.  Her nephew received only some cuts from flying glass and bruising from the seat restraints, and the driver of the truck was able to walk away.  However, Jessica sustained major injuries including a crushed cheek bone, torn eye lid, cuts in the cornea, deep lacerations in the face, a dislocated elbow and many other lacerations.  The most significant wounds came from the metal from the door sheering off her buttocks to the sacrum and the backs of her thighs to the femur.  Various surgeons worked on her through the night to treat as much as they could until she became too unstable to continue, and was moved to ICU.  Her blood pressure was dipping to dangerous levels and 4 different bp meds were given.  Jessica is intubated and is looking at many surgeries and many months of recovery.  We have been blessed with hearing about people praying for her in 25 states and 5 foreign countries, with more being added each day.  God has sustained Jessica and her family thus far, and we are trusting Him not day by day, but moment by moment.  If you are praying for Jessica, please let us know in the comment section and add what state you are in.  Thank you and God bless you.
