THE WARRIOR She’s our daughter, sister, aunt, best friend, niece, cousin, camp counselor, parishioner, grand-daughter, god-daughter, sister-in-law, camping buddy, cheerleader, comedian, care-giver, cat mom, inspiration and OVERCOMER. She’s a child of God.
THE BATTLE Born just 32 short years ago, our beloved Jess is yet again facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Having already fought and won the battle once, Jess finds herself on the frontlines again. Just a few days after celebrating one-year cancer free, a follow-up appointment on a cough that just wouldn’t go away, delivered devastating news. The breast cancer has metastasized into other parts of her body. According to her surgeon, the bone scan “lit up”. It’s in her shoulder, ribcage and spine. It’s on her lungs, its advanced, and its aggressive. In true Jess style, her response, “let’s do this.”
OUR MISSION And while Jess charges forward to face the enemy, we, her family, her friends, her army, will pick up our weapons and join the fight. Our mission is two-fold. 1.) We will cover her in prayer because we know He is in charge, He is good and He is her shield. And 2.) We will crush the financial burden so that Jessica can focus all her attention on defeating this cancer beast.
