My story started 2 1/2 years ago when I became ill with fever, night sweats, body aches & swelling and a terrible rash.  After weeks of doctoring and becoming worst I ended up in the emergency room in Rochester & was admitted to the St Mary's Hospital for 1 week. They could not find a diagnoses for me and ended up treating my symptoms but not the cause because they were very stumped on what I had. Fast forward 2 years and I ended up feeling more fatigued & sick which ended me up at the local doctor to find out that I was very low on blood. They transfused me and sent me to Mayo which after much testing again found out that I have MDS. Since May 2016 I have received 15 units of blood and have gone through 2 types of chemo that did not work. So our last option was for me to receive a Blood & Bone Marrow Transplant from a donor. My family was not a match so they had to go into the bone marrow donor registry to find a donor.  These people are   such a blessing to all of us!!
