Jerry Oswald is in the intensive care unit of Central Valley Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California. He has been having multiple seizures. He was put in an induced coma and on a ventilator in an attempt to quiet his brain and stop the seizures. Although medical tests thus far have not discovered the reason for the seizures, they have revealed that his brain activity is minimal and disorganized. His doctors removed the breathing tube on Monday, April 25, so he is now breathing on his own, he opens his eyes but does not respond to conversation or verbal commands such as “squeeze my hand.” His doctors do not believe that Jerry will recover but miracles occur. Jerry needs our prayers, as does his sister, Barbara Oswald, who is keeping vigil at his side. Watch this site for further updates. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Thank you very much.
