Jerry LaSee

In June 2016, my father, Jerry LaSee, was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary diagnosis. It's a nasty disease, but my dad was determined to do his best to overcome it.  A lung transplant evaluation in January 2017 revealed that he also had unstable angina and needed open heart surgery ASAP, which was a huge shock considering how skinny and active he has always been. He underwent quadruple bypass surgery with mitral valve repair on March 8th and came out of surgery wonderfully. But 36 hours later, he had extreme breathing issues and was re-intubated. In a completely unpredicted turn of events, his lung disease flared up post surgery and as of March 16th, Dad remains in ICU at Waukesha Memorial. His care has been superb and we (as well as the doctors) remain hopeful that he can overcome these problems.
