“You have cancer” is probably a shock to most everyone and pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult to manage. And although we do not even have the biopsy back yet, all treating Jerry are convinced it is “probably early- to mid-stage pancreatic cancer.” (*note from Suzanne, who is typing: we do now have the biopsy back and it is confirmed to be adenocarcinoma, which is common to 95% of all pancreatic cancers) 

There are a million questions we are thinking about right now. Yet throughout the past nearly four days we have felt incredible peace.

We plan to keep this site updated as we work through our journey. We have already had amazing blessings including kind friends and family, prayer support, getting to the right place at an early stage for diagnosis, and fabulous caring doctors and nurses. I could go on and on.

My plan is to update this when there is major news. In the meantime, we are ready and know God is in control and with us. May we ask for your prayers for wisdom?

Although my mom loves to know how much everyone cares about her and my dad, it is tough on her to try to keep up with all the calls and texts and visits when she really just wants to be with him. Their friend Chanel has offered to act as a clearinghouse if people need to speak to someone.
