My how things can change in 24 hours. Jerry is back at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He hasn't been feeling well this week. Upset stomach, lack of appetite, fatigue and back pain with a slight temperature. He was feeling better Thursday and went to lunch with relatives. That evening he started not feeling well again.
Mom took Jerry to the doctor this morning. He was sent to Corning Hospital for a CT, thinking he had a kidney stone.... Good news - No kidney stone..... Bad news - he has an abdominal aortic aneurysm!
Off to Mercy Hospital he goes! (By ambulance - no helicopter this time). Once at Mercy, they do a 2nd CT scan, this time with contrast. Yup, there is an aneurysm and it is seeping.... Maybe he should have gone by helicopter!
