Welcome to Jeremy's journey, a site for posting updates on Jeremy Jewett's health and prayer requests for him and his family.  Jeremy is the husband of Jen and father to Anna, Joshua and Caleb.  Due to complications from his vascular autoimmune disease, he collapsed on Thursday, January 28th, and was rushed to Albany Medical Center via ambulance. They discovered that he had an aneurysm in his renal artery (a blood clot that ruptured), which caused massive internal bleeding and damaged many of his organs. He has undergone multiple surgeries to repair or remove his damaged organs and stop the internal bleeding.  He has lost one kidney, his spleen, and part of his colon, and his liver and pancreas have been damaged.  Jeremy's one remaining kidney has stopped functioning and he needs to be on constant dialysis, but his heart rate and blood pressure need to be stable in order to do the dialysis.  All of his blood has been replaced, and he continues to bleed internally and need more donor blood. He is on a ventilator, but his lungs have still been having trouble getting enough oxygen.  He has a blood clot in his lung, pneumonia, and his whole body is swollen.  Please pray for a miracle of healing that glorifies God, for wisdom for the doctors, and against anymore infections.  Prayers for comfort and strength for Jen and the kids during this difficult time would also be appreciated.
