Welcome to Jen's updated CaringBridge website. We've created it so friends and family can share their love and prayers with Jen during and following her treatments, and to find out the latest news from her family and medical team in the journal.   In September Jen had her annual followup scan from her 2012 meningioma tumor surgery.   Images showed four lesions of unknown origin in her right parietal lobe, and after lab tests couldn't identify them her doctors performed a biopsy of the lesions, and they were determined to be level 3 astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer. She received a second opinion from Mayo Clinic this past week, who agreed with plans outlined for her at UW-Madison.  Post biopsy the tumors began to grow aggressively causing some left sided weakness. A new MRI showed four golf ball sized tumors and emergency surgery was performed successfully to remove them. New pathology named them glioblastoma wild type level 4. She is being treated by an amazing team of medical experts at UW-Madison, who are not only brilliant, but incredibly supportive.   Jen is preparing to start her radiation and chemotherapy treatments in November, and we know her strength and resilience  will shine through.  She would be grateful to hear from all of you via the caring bridge site, as she isn't always available via email, text or facebook.

Visit often to read the latest journal entries, visit the photo gallery, and write Jen a note with your well wishes.  Thanks for sharing your love, Rich, Shari and Stef
