In August of 2020 I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as a myocardial bridge. on December 16th, I will be having open heart surgery to repair it. I will spend about 5-6 days in the hospital, 6-8 weeks recovering, and several months undergoing cardiac rehab to get things working again. I am surrounded by an amazing family and communities of people who have been so supportive! the first journal entry is a long, detailed story of what happened and my journey to get here.
