Hi, everyone! This is where my family and I will be posting updates for my upcoming procedures and recovery. Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement and asking me how I am. It means so much!

I have a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. After my open-heart surgery at two months old, I've been able to live a fairly normal life, other than being monitored by regular heart checkups. I was always told this would be a life long condition with multiple surgeries in the future.

Back in October 2019, I was told that I need to have a valve put in my pulmonary artery. So after these last few months of tests and doctor visits, we have decided to have the procedure done at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They are going to attempt to put it in through a transcatheter through a vein in my leg, which is amazing because even just a few years ago, this wouldn't have been an option for me; I would have definitely had to have open-heart surgery. However, the doctor sometimes makes the call during the procedure to not put in the valve if he believes it won't fit. I am not guaranteed that this valve will work in my heart through a transcatheter, which would mean I would need open-heart surgery.

I am having this done on February 27th. Please pray that this valve would fit in my heart and that there would be no complications during the surgery. I would absolutely love to feel better and have more energy as soon as possible! Whatever happens, I am fully trusting in God's plan for my life and resting in the strength that he provides.
