Greetings, and welcome to our CaringBridge site!
We decided to form this site to keep family & friends updated on our heath adventures. 

Just after we were married, in 2005,  I was diagnosed with several blood clotting disorders after suffering a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in my lung) and a stroke. When my health started deteriorating rapidly in 2013, we sought guidance from Cleveland Clinic.

 In 2017, I was diagnosed with Bechet's Syndrome when I began to experience double vision and was unable to read. I was started on a medication to decrease the inflammation in the back of my eye. 


In December of 2018, I was started on a life-long immunosuppressant called Humira to treat the Bechet’s. I continue to take life-long blood thinners to prevent any more dangerous blood clots from forming in my lungs, organs, and brain.

In January 2019, our sweet boy,  Dominic had a strange presentation for appendicitis-and continued to struggle with high fevers and abnormal lab values. There is concern that he could have a genetic condition related to Bechet’s.

Our life is certainly very interesting, unpredictable, and sometimes quite harrowing -but through it all, Christ walks right beside us-sustaining and upholding us.

We are blessed beyond measure with a strong marriage, our three wonderful children, and amazingly supportive family and friends.
