Dear ones, We are starting all over again, in a little more than a week. The week before I returned to work in September, my left hip let me know that rehab of the right had been more than it could bear. So on December 4th we are doing hip #2, currently scheduled at 7:30am. Scotty and Opal Hyslop are coming in Monday 12/3 for a 10-day visit, to take care of us. Assuming all goes as well as last time, I’ll start outpatient PT the week of 12/17, and might need some rides that week. But it being the left leg, I expect to be driving sooner than last time.
Last surgery we learned that setting up tasks on Caring Bridge didn’t work so well. If you want to offer rides or anything else, just email me directly at jhelbraun@comcast.net. We WILL use this to spread the word about how it went.
