Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
When Jenn was 11 years old she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Each time Jenn's Lupus flared, her kidneys were attacked. Today, Jenn has 13% kidney function and needs a kidney transplant. Currently, there are over 110,000 people nationally on the waiting list for a deceased donor kidney. The wait time is approximately 5-7 years. The average life span of a person with a deceased donor kidney is 8-10 years.
The best option for Jenn is to receive a kidney from a living donor. Receiving a living donor kidney offers a longer life span, 12-15+ years, and better overall health and wellness for Jenn.
If you are interested in being a potential living donor for Jenn please contact her Donor Transplant Coordinator:
