God continues to show me that His love is amazing and I am blessed each day with the joy of being a wife to Ryan and a mom to our babies, Lani (16) and Joseph (14). This new journey we are on began at the doctor on August 22, which led to surgery at UVA on September 1 to remove a section of my colon along with my ovaries. God used the swollen, painful ovaries to get my attention which led to the discovery of the colon cancer. I am continuing to heal more each day from the surgery and will begin chemotherapy soon. I know this site will be a place to follow my journey and stay informed about how I'm doing, but please know that my comfort is in God, who He is, and what He can do through my doctors and through each of us everyday.
