Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of strength, love and encouragement for Jen/Mom.

In late January, Mom/Jen ended up at the hospital with some pretty serious chest pain, which ended up being a bundle blockage and during follow-up scans they identified a suspicious mass in her pancreas. She was referred to an expert team at Virginia Mason, who determined it was indeed clinical stage 2 pancreatic cancer. During the conversation, her oncologist said she was "the perfect candidate for a cure." Meaning, she is healthy and fit, the tumor is small (less than 2 cm) and it hasn't spread beyond her pancreas. The treatment plan was swiftly identified as chemo for 2 months (biweekly via port), healing, tumor/spleen/portion of her pancreas/surrounding lymph node removal, healing and then 3 months of chemo.  Of course she wanted to complement this treatment plan with natural medicine as well and added a natural path that specializes in cancer treatment.
