I didn't ever see myself needing a site like this, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I'm not the greatest at keeping everyone up to date these days so this site should help keep everyone informed without bombarding people with unwanted emails. Sound good? Great! Let's get started.
I was born with a congenital heart defect, scoliosis, kyphosis, cleft pallet, tracheoesophageal fistula, and a couple of other wonderful things. I had my heart defect "repaired" in 1974, Harrington rods and spinal fusion for my scoliosis and kyphosis in 1983, tracheoesophageal fistula and cleft pallet repaired as a wee one, my pulmonary valve replaced in 2008, and a cardiac ablation in 2013. I travel to the Mayo Clinic every year to the Adult Congenital Heart Center to stay healthy and to keep on top of my heart care. So far, so good. Honestly, I've been a Mayo patient since 1974, why stop now?
On the fun side, I am an avid hockey fan, mom of two fabulous boys, a devoted hockey mom, social media addict, and future millionaire. Ok..the last part probably isn't true but the rest sure is!
