I didn't ever see myself needing a site like this but here we are. That being said, I'm not the best at keeping everyone up-to-date so this should help keep everyone informed without bombarding anyone with unwanted emails. Sound good? Great! Let's get started.
I was born in 1969 with a congenital heart defect, scoliosis, kyphosis, cleft pallet, tracheoesophageal fistula, and a couple of other wonderful things. I had my heart defect "repaired" in 1972, Harrington rods and spinal fusion for my scoliosis and kyphosis in 1983, tracheoesophageal fistula and cleft pallet repaired as a wee one, my pulmonary valve replaced in 2008, and a cardiac ablation in 2013. I travel to the Mayo Clinic every year to the Adult Congenital Heart Center to stay healthy and to keep on top of my cardiac care.
