I just want to start by thanking everyone for their continued love and support during this difficult time. 
Here is my story. 


Since July of this year, I have been receiving treatment for severe pain that I was having in my right hip and leg. I have seen several different doctors and specialists, and have had countless scans and tests done, but nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. 
Eventually, it was determined that I was having sciatic pain, and I received treatment for that. No matter what I did the pain just kept getting worse. 
Over the past few weeks, it’s gotten so bad at times that I couldn’t walk, and started having to miss work as a result. 
On November  22, I was having the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I went to the hospital, and they discovered that I had a fractured hip. I was transferred to Abbott, and then transferred to HCMC for surgery. They did an X-ray of my hip and discovered that the reason my hip had been fractured was because I have cancer that was deteriorating the bone. 
They decided to do a full hip replacement, which went very well. I am able to walk with very little help!
They did a biopsy on the mass that they removed from my hip, and they also did a scan of my entire body. The results of these tests concluded that I have a glandular cancer which started in my lung and spread to the bone in my hip. 
They were able to remove all of the cancer from my hip, and determined that the cancer has not spread anywhere else at this time. 
We will be going to see an oncologist tomorrow morning, and will find out more.
