Thank you for stopping by my site. My name is Jennifer Beem, I am 47 years old: Wife to Rick (26 years), Mom to Trae(22), Hailey (20), Reagan(19), and Emily (13). I discovered a lump on my right breast on  Saturday, January 13, 2018, and  just 2 short weeks later was diagnosed with breast cancer: invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) grade 3, stage IIB, ER/PR+, HER2-. I underwent oncoplasty (lumpectomy with breast reduction/reconstruction) on February 12th and it was thought that my nodes looked clean . The pathology report determined that not to be the case. A second surgery “axillary node dissection” happened on  February 27th which removed 15 axillary nodes.  Only one node had cancer (my sentinel),  and I began chemotherapy on 4/3/18 (4 rounds of AC  and 12 rounds of Taxol) followed by radiation in October. I have a long scary road ahead. I appreciate your prayers and support.
