Well I never really imagined writing on my own caring bridge. First. Thanks to my friend Kathy for getting this started for me as I am exhausted and don't have brain power. I am not going into all the gory details. After months of suffering from "constipation' I became too sick to function. Admitted to Abbott northwestern hospital on Tuesday, October 25th. They found my colon was blocked. The scheduled surgery to remove this blockage discovered something else. A tumor on my uterus which grew around and compressed the colon. They resected the colon and removed the tumor. 
While I have been recovering from this major surgery (no fun) we have been waiting for the biopsy report on the tumor. We hope to hear this afternoon and get a plan in place. Mostly I hope to be home soon.
