Friends, i just wanted to give you a little update in case you're interested. Charlie and I went to Ireland a few weeks ago. The first eight days were great but i fell ill and ended up in a hospital the day we were to return to the US. I was kept in isolation because i had all of the signs of meningitis. After a seven day hospital stay, the released me, i did not have meningitis. Got back to the US and still felt awful.
To make a very long story short, they found an abscess on my bioprosthetic aortic heart valve which was put in September 2014.
Now I sit and wait for surgery to replace that heart valve which will take place any day. It's been a long journey but my spirits are okay, given the severity.  Peace to you all and wish me luck!
