In September 2018, I noticed a strange looking mole on Jeff's left upper back. I knew he needed to get it removed, but never dreamed I would be starting a CaringBridge page as a result. The mole was biopsied and Jeff was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma. He had two subsequent surgeries, and we thought we were in the clear. What we didn't realize, was that the cancer cells were already on the move. In January 2019, we found out Jeff's cancer had moved to his liver and spleen. We are fortunate to have so many concerned people in our lives and figured CaringBridge might be the best way to keep everyone in the loop.
