Jeff's journey began in 2015 with symptoms which we believed were related to arthritis or just plain getting older. As many of you know, he has always been a very active man,  even after retiring from his 40 year of service to Quaker Chemical Corporation. We thought perhaps that his neighborhood yard/landscaping business was just catching up to him. But after many visits to doctors and much testing,  we received a diagnosis of ALS in January 2016. We were shocked and unprepared to receive this news. Since January, Jeff's decline has been dramatic. He is under the care of a wonderful doctor, Dr Terry Patterson, Director of the Neuromuscular Division and MDA/AlS Center of Hope at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is also currently receiving  Mainline Hospice Care services. 

Through God's faithfulness and the prayers from so many, we can say that we been strengthened day by day during this unexpected journey. We continue to cling to God's promises in our favorite hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul."  May these words be an encouragement to you to know God's power and provision in all circumstances.  Soli Deo Gloria!
