Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  I (Julia) am going to be running this site for my dad. He is blessed to have many family and friends in his circle that want to be updated, and I figured this would be the easiest way. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. As many of you know, Dad was diagnosed with testicular cancer in August 2019. We are lucky that he is getting the best care at Tennessee Oncology.  In our first appointment with Dr. Meluch, he assured us that Dad's prognosis is good, and that testicular cancer has a high cure rate.  Although the proposed chemo is challenging, he feels confident dad will do well.  Prior to this, he has spent a lot of 2019 in the hospital and doctor's office. In February, he was hospitalized and diagnosed with heart failure which meant complete life change with diet and medicines. Around the same time, he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This past summer he then had a knee replacement. It has been a year, but we are feeling very optimistic.
