Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

In November 2015, Jeff began having intense headaches when he would wake up each morning. As the headaches progressed and became more concerning Jeff made the decision to go to urgent care on February 15th, 2016 at Gundersen in LaCrosse, WI. After several tests, including a CT Scan the doctors confirmed that there was a mass in the left frontal lobe of his brain, about the size of a large walnut. After consulting and getting a second opinion from the doctors at Mayo Clinic, they immediately recommended a partial resection of the tumor and planned to take out as much as they could without disturbing normal brain functions. Jeff headed into surgery on February 22nd. The surgery took about 7 hours. Jeff was awake, eating Hot Tamales and in good spirits by the next morning. He was out of the hospital and back home with family by the 26th of February. A biopsy was performed on the resected cells and it was confirmed to be a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The team of doctors at Mayo Clinic recommended beginning radiation and chemotherapy as soon as possible. Starting March 24th Jeff will begin his treatments in Rochester, MN, doing radiation 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) and oral chemotherapy treatments.

During this challenging time -- please continue to pray for Jeff and those of us that love and care for him... that Jeff continues to pull strength from his faith in God, family, and friends. His spirit constant, setting an example for all of us with many fewer cares, showing us that life is beautiful and full of gifts, even in the face of such difficult circumstances. We honor him for his strength and courage to fight this battle, he will not be alone.

God Bless,
Jeff and Family
