On Friday, July 21st 2017,  Jeff was swimming and playing in the ocean with his son, Jake and his friend, Joshua. While swimming, he was flipped over by a wave and hit his head. Jeff suffered 4 fractures in his neck and underwent emergency surgery to place rods and screws and stop internal bleeding. Thankfully, the surgery went well and there was no damage to the spinal column.  Jeff faces a long road to complete recovery, but he is determined.   Jeff just started a new job, and is not eligible for extended medical leave.   I believe that God brought him through this because he has some important work to do.
