After some unexpected health issues resulted in hospitalization in Glendive, MT, Mom was flown to Billings and hospitalized at St. Vincent Healthcare. An extensive series of tests indicated three significantly blocked arteries and some issues with leakage from her mitral valve. She was scheduled for surgery and temporarily transferred to Billings Health and Rehabilitation to prepare for surgery.
On Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 she underwent open heart surgery. They successfully completed three bypasses and repaired the leaky valve. As of today, she remains in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Vincent Healthcare in recovery.
