Jean was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 20, and underwent treatment at the Cancer Center in New Richmond. Although chemotherapy is a challenge, she fought through it and we were hopeful that it was effective. Unfortunately, on July 6, Jean contracted a bacterial blood infection. This resulted in a strenuous antibiotic treatment, and put chemotherapy on hold. During that time, the cancer continued to grow and spread, and the aggressive treatment and infection took it's toll on her body. It was decided that choosing to continue chemotherapy again would be not in her best interest, and we have begun hospice care. Jean's Journey has always followed God's path, and we must trust that he knows the best path for her. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
