My story began 71 years ago in a galaxy far, far away. Each chapter of my story has been a wonderful adventure because of all of you. My friends have always been my family (remember the Jonathan Livingston Seagull quote) and I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate your love and support. On Friday, 12 August 2016 I was diagnosed with a form of leukemia AML (acute myelogenous leukemia). I start chemo treatments on Monday, 29 August. During the past week and a half I have heard about some awesome success stories. I am going forward with a positive attitude and the usual Powell Girls (aka: Power Girls) weird sense of humor. If you have an interest, I will be adding journal entries to this website. Thank you for being you - y'all are all the BESTUS!!
